CORTÉS SUMMER WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

For five consecutive years, the Cortés Foundation has been offering the Cortés Summer Workshops for Young People during the month of July, with over 200 scholarships managed for children and young people from public schools, mainly from our community of Old San Juan, as well as from other schools in the area. Metro area.

Local contemporary artists offer Mosaic, Drawing, Engraving and Painting workshops aligned to the academic standards of Fine Arts of the Department of Education. In addition, together with allies of the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network and other independent producers, we offer Digital Cinema workshops that have culminated in short films that have been recognized by the Ponte los Cortos Festival in Puerto Rico. The students receive all the materials and culminate by exhibiting their final works in a community celebration at the Cortés Foundation. During the program they also have the opportunity to do literacy and math exercises.
